Happy Birthday Horses

This is a belated Birthday card I made for my father. His birthday was in November but I just hand delivered it to him this morning. I'm not sure of the source of the image but I love those galloping horses. I used SU! Crumb Cake (I still have to stop myself from typing Kraft!) for the card base. I embossed at piece of Cajun Craze cs with the SU! Houndstooth embossing folder and mounted that to the card base. I added a piece of Chocolate Chip strip to the Cajun Craze layer. I stamped the image and sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake with Chocolate Chip ink and mounted it a Chocolate Chip piece. I used my new Corner Chomper on the image and Chocolate Chip layer and added three brads.

Crafty Gals December Challenge

The Crafty Gals Blog Group's December Challenge is the THE POWER OF THREE! We were required to make a holiday card keeping the number 3 in mind. Everything on the card had to be in 3's. 3 layers (card base does NOT count as a layer), 3 stamped images (or an image with 3 things on it), 3 embellishments (3 buttons, 3 ribbons etc. or 1 ribbon, 1 pearl, and 1 brad etc).

I used my favorite Stampin Up! set, Lovely as a Tree, again. I stamped it in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut the image into 3 pieces. I then mounted the images on to pieces to Chocolate Chip cardstock and then mounted those pieces to an embossed piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock making up my three layers excluding the Crumb Cake based that I used. I finished the card by adding three brads in the bottom corner.

Gold Embossed Lovely as a Tree

This is a quick card I made for one of my daughter's friends for her birthday. I cased this from a card my mother made a few years ago and she may have cased it from someone else, so that is my official disclaimer.

I used glitter embossing powder from Creations Unlimited, the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and Whisper White and Brushed card stock from Stampin Up.

I made a get well card for the Topic of the Month (TOTM) swap on the Glitter Gals and Guys Yahoo Group. The requirement was to make a get well card using blue and a touch of silver. I used the same layout and stamp set as my last post so that's why they look so similar.

Operation Write Home Bunny Blog Hop is tomorrow

I haven't posted in over a month. My mother passed away on Feb. 9 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer, so I haven't had too much time to stamp and quite honestly, I lost my mojo. So to help get it back, I am participating in the Operation Write Home Bunny Blog Hop tomorrow. There are currently 135 stampers signed up, so there should be lots of wonderful cards to see. The theme will be Easter/Spring. The posts are scheduled to go live by 7am PST (10am EST). Hope to you there tomorrow.
